FAQ

  • When are call for entries over?

The call for entry period runs from Friday, August 15 to Friday, September 26 at midnight. This means you will need to submit your entry before you head to bed on Friday to avoid the late fee of $5.

If you do miss the call for entry period, don’t fret! We will be accepting late entries until Friday, October 10.

  • How will my work be judged?

Our three judges will view your work and rationale online via a custom-built website designed specifically by AIGA Nebraska for judging entries. Within days after the deadline occurs, we’ll turn entries over to the judges to view. This gives them more time to evaluate the work and narrow the field before arriving and making their final selection.

  • Will my physical work be judged?

If your piece is chosen by the judges to move into the second round of judging, you’ll be asked to bring a physical, mounted entry to a drop-off location, similar to past years. If your entry qualifies for the final round, AIGA Nebraska will notify you, using the email you provided at registration. At that time we will communicate the mounting and drop-off requirements. All physical entries will then be judged again the day before Show’s exhibition to determine winners.

  • What is the AIGA Nebraska Fellow Award?

The AIGA Fellow Award honors senior-level members who have made a significant contribution to raising the standards of excellence in practice and conduct within their local or regional design community, as well as in their local AIGA chapter. The areas of education, writing, leadership, and reputation, as well as the practice of design, have equal consideration in measuring significant contribution.

We will be honoring a very special Nebraska designer with the AIGA Nebraska Fellow Award. Only a small group of designers across the United States have been selected for their impact on the community through design. We’re happy to announce our second recipient at the event.

  • When is the exhibition?

The exhibition will be downtown at KANEKO on Saturday, November 15 beginning with drinks at 5:30pm.

  • Do I have to pay to get into the exhibit?

As one of our many benefits, AIGA members gain free entry to the event. Non-members can purchase their tickets for $10 online before the event, or at the door. We will be accepting cash and cards. No checks, please.
