How to Enter

Pricing

Entries may be submitted any time between now and the deadline. Student pricing is available to current students and those who have graduated within the last six months.

All entries must be paid online via credit card at the time of entry. Entrants may submit designs into more than one category if you believe your piece should be evaluated according to standards of excellence belonging to those categories. We just require that you submit separate entry forms, fees and digital files for each category.

DIGITAL SUBMISSIONS / FIRST ROUND ENTRY

All first-round entries are submitted digitally and you can submit your work here. AIGA Nebraska’s Show will accept entries for work that has been published/created between September 26, 2013 and September 26, 2014.

IMAGE REQUIREMENTS

Images uploaded at the time of your entry must follow the image requirements. Each image has a max file size of 800K. Dimensions of the files are at your discretion. Files should follow the naming convention of LastName_FirstName_1.jpg. Accepted file types are .gif, .jpg, .jpeg and .png.

Submission Categories

  • Apparel

    Clothing and accessories.

  • Application Design

    Layout and functionality of applications and software intended for desktop, mobile or other platforms.

  • Book

    Cover designs and/or interior layouts of published books. Please indicate if you designed the interior, cover or both.

  • Corporate Communications

    Newsletters, standards manuals, press kits, annual reports, investor communications, etc.

  • Environment and Experience

    Multiple media or a single medium engaging an audience intellectually and emotionally. Includes installations, interiors, and other real-time experiences.

  • Experimental and Unpublished

    Professional work that has not been produced, for whatever reason; or work that is of a purely conjectural or entertaining nature.

  • Illustration

    Pictorial matter used to explain or decorate a text/layout. May include drawing, painting, pen-and-ink, woodcut, mixed media, etc.

  • Information Design

    Charts, maps, graphs, schedules, forms and wayfinding systems that intend to clarify the complex.

  • Logo and Identity System

    Singular logos as well as their implementations dictating color, typography, imagery, voice, etc.

  • Motion

    Animation and live action footage.

  • Packaging and product

    Consumer packaging, labels, shopping bags, music albums, etc. in addition to industrial and product design.

  • Photography

    Published photos including architecture, lifestyle, still life, etc.

  • Poster

    Though frequently a part of promotional design, this medium deserves its own category. Must be larger than 11" x 17". Anything 11" x 17" and below should be entered into the promotional design category.

  • Promotional design and advertising

    Works designed to introduce, sell or promote products, ideas or events. May include print advertising, invitations, announcements, direct mail, guerrilla, etc.

  • Publication

    Magazines (whole issues or individual articles), catalogs, newspapers, journals, etc.

  • self promotion

    Design by the entrant, for the entrant.

  • Web

    Websites intended for desktop, mobile or other platforms.

Print and Mount

AIGA Nebraska will contact you if you make it to the second round of judging. Those who advance to the second round will be given instructions for delivering a mounted version of their entry for successive judging rounds. Second-round entrants will have approximately two weeks to prepare their physical entries for delivery/drop off.
